If available in the preferences dialogue, this field allows you to select a colour scheme / style.

 

The availability of the selection, as well as the list contents depend on the configuration at the server as setup by the server administrator.  Note that it is possible for administrative personnel to add new styles with unique colour combinations should that be desirable for your organization.
