Profile Connecting Settings are based on the connection details of the Host or Parent Profile (and its Host) -- a Profile can override individual settings to provide a unique connection.  For example, a different terminal type than the default, or a different host address when there are many hosts with the same attributes defined in the Host definition, but unique addresses.
