The TextDisplay field type is a simple display of the data read from the screen, using the selected style class and other attributes that may propagate from the active screen data.
If you want to prevent data entry into an entry-capable field, change the FieldTemplate property from Standard to TextDisplay and no entry field will be displayed on the web page.
